Deerhunter-Cryptograms[2007]
Following the trend of shoegaze in indie, Deerhunter provide us with Cryptograms. The album is an interesting record that spaces-out more than it rocks out. Reverb drenced and ambient heavy, this album offers the listener a unique soundscape of epic melodies. Though, its inaccessibility may be hard to conquer at first, it rewards the listener a trip into modern shoegazeing bliss.

Radiohead-In Rainbows[2007]
The hype may be over now due to the downloading of the album on the website but In Rainbows is still damn good. Radiohead show us how regardless of how the format is released, the song remains the same. The album is without a doubt suddle in sound but hits the listener hard with its emotional power. The musicianship and song writing remains top notch throughout the whole album.

Impaled-The Last Gasp[2007]
Gorey medical malpractices, horrible murders and other horrible events are all what are offered in this dense and Carcass-worship death metal album. What Impaled do with their music is neither grand works of life changing art or terrible noise that pollutes yours ears. Instead they lie somewhere in between. The good mixture of both low "gutter" vocals and high pitch rasps leave you filled with sadistic joy. Groove based riffs the album in places when the plain blasting dont. The song writing still retains a good amount of memorability but loses its power after many listens. The album is must buy for all death metal enthusiasts who can both stomach the cons and enjoy the pros. Plus the gory artwork is totally killer, no pun intended.
